MESA (April 22, 2017) — Bernie Sanders rallied thousands of progressives with DNC Chair Tom Perez in Mesa, AZ on Friday night, the latest stop in their “Come Together & Fight Back Tour” aimed at bringing unity to the Democratic party.

We’re the wealthiest country in the world, but most people don’t know it,” Sanders told the raucous crowd. “And you know why they don’t know it? They’re busy working two or three jobs. They don’t know it because almost all of the new income and wealth being created today is going to the top 1%.

“Brothers and sisters, OUR job is to create an economy that works for all, not just the billionaires.”
—Sen. Bernie Sanders

In typical fashion, hundreds of energized supporters began lining up to see the Vermont Senator over 7 hours before he was scheduled to speak.

Sanders was joined on stage by several prominent local activists, including Belen Sisa, an outspoken advocate for dreamers who also served as a page at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

By the time Bernie took the stage, the crowd was at maximum capacity.

“You are the future of America, and it is a beautiful future.” —Sen. Bernie Sanders

Many will recall that, like so many of the 2016 democratic contests, the Arizona primary was nothing short of a debacle.

Thousands of voters were forced to wait in line for extremely long periods, some as long at 6 hours, where many remained when the media called the race for Clinton just over an hour after the last poll had closed.

At least by then the DNC had unblocked Bernie’s campaign from accessing its own voter data, and stopped accusing his staff of hacking the Clinton campaign’s database

Despite being repeatedly sabotaged by establishment hacks within the DNC for much of the primary, Bernie Sanders continues to rally large crowds and motivate Americans across the nation into action, more than any Democratic out there.
